Erin Lubin is an independent photojournalist/documentary photographer who lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area. While receiving her bachelor’s degree in journalism from San Francisco State University, Lubin worked part-time for the Oakland Tribune, interned for the Dubuque Telegraph Herald in Iowa, and freelanced for several other Bay Area newspapers. After graduation in 2001 Lubin interned for the Albuquerque Journal in New Mexico then worked part-time for the Marin Independent Journal in Marin County, California.
Today, Lubin works with a variety of editorial and non-editorial clients and continues to pursue personal projects. Editorial clients include the San Francisco Chronicle, Bloomberg News, Associated Press, Financial Times, New York Daily News, and a variety of European publications via World Picture News agency. Some non-editorial clients include CARE USA, Operation Smile, The Women’s Foundation of California, William Randolph Hearst Foundation, Northbay Family Homes, Intel, Virgin America, and a variety of others.
Lubin has been included in numerous national and international photo exhibitions and has co-authored one book, Falling Practice: What Illness Teaches Us by Silent Press.
